The Regator team want to thank all of the blogs that have given us the time of day and written about the site over the past couple of days. The demand for our beta invites has been incredible and we couldn’t be happier with the overall response to the site. The great thing is that we are only in private beta which means the site is only going to get even better before we open it up to everyone.
That all being said, We are not letting the dust settle on our private beta launch. We are continually adding more of the highest quality blogs on the internet that our editors find and our users nominate and based on the feedback we are receiving, we will be announcing a major new feature release very soon. We’re working on it right now and we are excited to get it built, tested fully and out to everyone as soon as we can! I can’t tell you much about it now, except that it seems an obvious next step and possibly brilliant idea that will really add to the fun and usefulness of the site.
Our goal for the site is to bring together the best blog posts on the internet and make it fun and easy to find and consume quality information. We are looking to appeal to the average Joe/Jane in their cubicle procrastinating doing their TPS reports reading Perez Hilton, to the more advanced geeky types procrastinating doing their TPS reports reading Mr Arrington. Ambitious? yes. but we’re going to give it our best shot.
Oh yeah, you can follow us and our blog over on Twitter and FriendFeed as we share what’s going on in the world of our start up blog aggregator from right here in sunny Atlanta.
Have a good weekend!

Here’s some more sweet recent quotes about Regator:
“It’s a neat implementation of the social news sites like Digg or Slashdot but focusing on blogs instead of general web sites. Now, the line can be fuzzy at times with blog sites just commenting on something from a web site, but that doesn’t take away from Regator, just points to something about the state of blogging today.”
- My Exploding Brain“While a lot of aggregators out there hype their focus on number of feeds from blogs and other websites. Regator seems to have taken a different tack by doing a few things different:
1. Focusing mostly on blogs.
2. Selecting the blogs that will be included in the aggregator
3. Setting-up an easy interface for the punters.”
