What is wrong with this flier?

A couple weeks ago a lady struck up a conversation with me as I sat enjoying the weather at an outdoor cafe in Washington, D.C. Not long into it she wondered what I did for a living. I told her pro-life work, which always elicits interesting responses. But this one was new. Show More Summary

Per MSM it could only be Planned Parenthood supporters withholding donations from Komen

The mainstream media is reporting that donations to Susan G. Komen for the Cure have dropped substantially in the wake of its decision and subsequent reversal to defund Planned Parenthood. According to MSM, this must be due to disgruntled Planned Parenthood supporters, for instance this March 23 CBS News story:

Obama plugs Planned Parenthood in new video

Barack Obama and Planned Parenthood are Siamese twins that share one heart, cold and dark as it is. One cannot survive without the other. Imagine the dire straits Planned Parenthood would find itself in today without Obama fending off its attackers these past three years. Planned Parenthood's fortunes rest on Barack Obama. And vice versa. From the Boston Globe, March 27:

Being pro-choice: The “essence of misogyny”

… [I]t is not feminism to support abortion…. [T]o argue that women are unequal without the “right” to abortion is to believe that pregnancy is something that makes women less-than. But pregnancy is something that is both uniquely female and literally as natural as breathing. To believe that abortion is necessary for women’s equality is [...]

Celebrating Back Up Your Birth Control Day

Today the liberal feminist movement celebrates ingesting megadoses of environmentally toxic, cancer causing, pheromone altering, libido killing, chemically modified, female steroids, yeah! Matthew Hennessey could be making the same observation about hormonal birth control pills and emergency contraceptives as abortion. Show More Summary

The prayer breakfast speech that came before the President’s

It’s Friday afternoon. You don’t want to work any more. Do yourself a favor. End your week by watching this speech. It’s a soaring inspiration to pro-lifers, with the bonus that President Obama was forced to hear it. Backdrop, from National Review (These are just excerpts. Read the entire piece before viewing the speech.): If [...]

Playing pro-life political chess

Guest post by Joel Brind, Ph.D. Many pro-lifers don’t trust Rick Santorum because of his 2004 support of Arlen Specter for U.S. Senate from Pennsylvania in the 2004 primary election. On its face, it appears that Rick wandered off the reservation and put party before life by endorsing pro-abortion Specter against pro-life Pat Toomey. [...]

Why abortion groups opposed the religious exemption but support the “compromise”

NARAL and Planned Parenthood have joined RH Reality Check to enthusiastically support President Obama’s just announced “accommodation.” The reason? Whereas before at least churches were exempted from providing insurance coverage for contraception, abortifacients, and sterilization, now even church insurance policies will have to cover them. by JivinJ, host of the blog, JivinJehoshaphat While some people are shocked at President Obama’s HHS contraceptive mandate, Andrew McCarthy is not. He notes Obama’s previous votes in favor of infanticide and argues that Obama is the one pulling his base to the extremes, not the other way around: Obama’s abortion extremism is such that, [...]

Contraceptive “compromise” worse than original mandate: Eliminates any exceptions

UPDATE, 12:02p: From a House source: This “new policy” is a distinction without a difference.  The services the religious organization opposes won’t be listed in the contract, but the insurance companies will give it the employees anyway.  Insurance companies will justify providing the coverage that the religious charity opposes by swearing that birth control coverage [...]

Contraceptive “compromise” worse than the original mandate

UPDATE, 11:53a: Email from Eric Scheidler of Pro-Life Action League, posted with permission: At the end of the day, religious employers are still required to provide health plans that offer free contraceptives, sterilizations and abortifacients. And the cost of those “free” free services – ostensibly now to be born by the insurer rather than the [...]

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is getting an abortion

I don’t think Buffy should have a baby. I don’t think Buffy can take care of a baby. I agree with Buffy. It’s a very difficult decision for her, but she made a decision that so many people make and it’s such a hot button issue with Planned Parenthood under constant threat and attack right [...]

The problem with making the morning-after pill as easy to get as a candy bar

Fox News reported today that a Texas high school coach faces felony charges after giving the morning-after pill to one of her underage 16-yr-old students. There’s the first reason not to make the morning-after pill easily available to adults: Just because an adult buys it doesn’t mean an adult will take it. Shippensburg University in [...]

by JivinJ, host of the blog, JivinJehoshaphat At Talking Points Memo, former Planned Parenthood presidents Faye Wattleton and Gloria Feldt discuss the Komen controversy. Wattleton notes the AT&T battlewhich she blames on them for going public with their defunding decision: In reference to Komen, Feldt says, “Planned Parenthood has to play really hardball or else, [...]
