Looking up at the verdant walls of the huge bowl that is Medellín, and hearing the birds squawk "Chicharrón!" at us from the hotel garden, on our second morning in Medellín I felt like we'd already arrived in the jungle. By nightfall I'd realize how wrong I was about that. Show More Summary
Yawn, stretch: if it's Tuesday, this must be Medellín! After about six hours' sleep in Hotel San Lorenzo de Aná, it was time to get moving and see some of Colombia. We'd been combing over our Viventura itinerary for so long, it was hard to believe we were now about to live it. Show More Summary
Tyler and I left at the crack of dawn to make our 9 a.m. flight from L.A. on the one day it rained in December. Some day in my life I'll be early for a flight. This wasn't the day — but I did manage to slap on a coat of mascara justShow More Summary

The title is a play on what I hereby pronounce to be an utterly unpronounceable word: psuedonymous. Psuedonymity is much on people's minds lately with recent decisions and discussions regarding Google+. We also consider whether and how...Show More Summary
I had a great time last Friday on Tech News Today with Sarah Lane, Tom Merritt, and Iyaz Akhtar driving. Topics included AT&T redefining "unlimited" bandwidth, Apple having more money than the U.S. government, high I.Q. browsers, and more as described here. Show More Summary

I've been playing around with Google+, and overall am much impressed with its out-of-the-gate privacy approach. It includes: a comprehensible privacy guide, intuitive "Circles" for managing precisely who sees what you post, and, best of all, users must affirmatively "opt in" to settings that make more of their information more public.
