Yes folks, the great Green Lake spike saga has been solved and it is all the Parks Department's fault. Police have closed the case into a possible local foot hater, after the Parks Department realized that they had placed the spikes in the lake--more than 20 years ago.
The originally curved metal stakes were used to hold down plastic sheeting on the bottom of the lake.
