Following up on the story I wrote about here, where the funding had been cut drastically for Turning Point, a Chicago-area shelter serving women and children who are victims of domestic violence.Fundraising efforts, including the Star 105.5 radiothon, online donations (yay, Shakers!), and food donations to the pantry, have raised $70,000 for the center.A warm and grateful thanks to everyone who donated where they could.
