The Public Theater's production of The Merchant of Venice, currently being performed as part of Shakespeare in the Park, will make the jump to Broadway for a three-month run beginning on October 19. Al Pacino will remain on in his role as Shylock (for which he did some research), as will most of the cast, including Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater (though not Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who has a relatively small part and has to go back to his day job on Modern Family).
