The singer has signed on for Battleship, the film adaptation of the classic board game, except, you know, with Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, and aliens. The premise makes this one sound like a risky project to use as your big debut, so here's hoping it's not yet another singer-to-actor sinker, like Glitter was for Mariah Carey.
