Vandy gets in-state point guard

With Tennessee and Memphis targeting the same in-state recruits as Vanderbilt, it is tough for the Commodores to get the state’s top prospects to Nashville. On Wednesday, Kevin Stallings picked up a big recruit, when point guard Kedren Johnson committed to Vanderbilt. Johnson confirmed the news to me in a text message. He is a 6-foot-4 Marshall County (Tenn.) product who can get to the rim using his strength and ball-handling ability.
