The Apple Store, online, went down Wednesday morning.
Apple simply said on its website that it was "busy updating the store for you and will be back shortly."
At about 10 a.m. Apple is set to host a news conference where it is expected to unveil the iPad 2.
Usually, Apple only takes its store offline to add new products, as it did last week with its update to its MacBook Pro line of laptop computers.
