In Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals, James Harden of the Oklahoma City Thunder went down like Tyson Chandler of the Dallas Mavericks landed a haymaker to his right eye. The referees immediately gave Chandler a technical foul. After reviewing the game tape, the NBA rescinded the technical because it was obvious Harden flopped. The sport of soccer is often criticized for its frequent flopping, but flopping has become more prevalent over the years in professional basketball.
