Encore, the pay cable network previously known for airing films, is slated to follow HBO, Showtime, its corporate parent Starz into the original programming business come August. Starz Entertainment announced on Wednesday that the network will premiere its Encore Originals programming on Aug. 1 with Moby Dick, an on-screen adaptation of Herman Melville’s classic novel.
