WUSA Sports Director Brett Haber: ‘Sports Is Just Not As Relevant As It Once Was’

Brett Haber, who has been sports director with Washington, DC CBS affiliate WUSA since 2004, announced yesterday he will resign from the station this fall. Haber is a 17-time Emmy winner who has spent the majority of his career in Washington, DC. Although he has not announced his future plans, he said he intends to focus on live sportscasting because of the shifting relationship between sports and local news.
