ULB Identify A New Role Of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor In Regulating Skin Cancer Stem Cells

Publication in Nature advanced on line publication: researchers at the Université libre de Bruxelles, ULB, identify a new role of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) in regulating skin cancer stem cells. One of the key questions in cancer is the identification of the mechanisms that regulate cancer stem cells and tumor growth. In a study published in Nature, researchers lead by Cédric Blanpain, MD/PhD, FNRS/FRS researcher and WELBIO investigator at the IRIBHM, Université libre de Bruxelles, Belgium, in collaboration with the groups of Peter Carmeliet (VIB/K.
