Christian Bale Involved In Car Chase and Police Skirmish in China

While in China to promote his historical drama The Flowers of War -- also known as the most expensive Chinese film ever made -- Christian Bale embarked on an eight-hour drive with a CNN news crew to visit Chen Guangcheng, a civil rights activist who has been under house arrest for the past year. Only instead of a polite meet-and-greet, Bale and the news team were manhandled by security guards outside Guangcheng's home before being chased for 30 minutes.
