Rick Santorum is experiencing a late surge in Iowa just days before the January 3 caucus there.
A new NBC-Marist poll confirms what a CNN/Time/ORC poll found earlier this week: Romney is in the lead, Ron Paul is a very close second (though his negatives are through the roof) and Santorum has jumped to third. Newt Gingrich, the (temporary) GOP favorite just a few weeks ago has plummeted.
