Rancho Palos Verdes brush fire burns 35 acres; no homes threatened

A brush fire burning Monday night in Rancho Palos Verdes had grown to about 35 acres, but firefighters appeared to be gaining the upper hand in their efforts to knock down the flames, officials said.
