Major political firm opts out of mayoral race
City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer and Public Advocate Bill de Blasio each approached Global Strategy Group about using the strategic communications firm's polling services for the 2013 mayoral campaign. But Global, who has had all three politicians as clients in the past, said Wednesday that it would choose none of the above, and indeed would not work for any candidate in the race.
