Canada is number one!

...in the rate of population growth. The latest census data show that Canada's growth rate is the highest among the G8 countries, at 5.9 percent over 5 years. According to the report in the Montreal Gazette, this growth is "primarily fueled by immigration." If this growth rate could continue, Canada' population would double in about 60 years. Even the current growth rate has enormous implications for our impact on this planet.
