Initially announced two years ago as the Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung has recently announced a much improved follower which is called the Samsung Galaxy S Advance; incorporating some Galaxy S and Galaxy S II but also some Google Nexus S features and highlights. Now powered by a 1 GHz dual-core CPU, the Galaxy S Advance runs on Android 2.3.6/Gingerbread with Samsung's TouchWiz enhancements and supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE, quadband UMTS/HSDPA+ up to 14.
