Yesterday the Houston Astros named now former starter Brett Myers to be their opening day closer. At first glance I questioned the move, but that glance lasted only a second. Brandon Lyon is a joke for a closer, and there is little depth behind him other than Myers. Also, Myers has the mentality to close along with decent stuff to give it his all for one inning per game.
