In November of 2011, a Dawn Redwood tree was planted in Tompkins Square Park in the East Village section of New York City in memorial to Steve Jobs. The planting was done by workers for Bette Midler's New York Restoration Project, and a one-line memorial has just been added to a plaque dedicating trees to other notables. Steve's epitaph? "In Honor of Steve Jobs. Stay Hungry.
