When Backlash Goes Viral: Social Media is a Two-Way Street

Perhaps there is nothing more that can be said about the Kony 2012 campaign that has not already been asserted. It has been about two and a half weeks since the half-hour video that started it all was released and it is now considered the most viral video of all time. Almost immediately upon it being released, there were numerous criticisms that have been directed toward the video and its underlying goal of raising awareness of the Ugandan rebel leader known as Joseph Kony.
