President Obama Speaks at the Third Annual Easter Prayer Breakfast

This morning President Obama and Vice President Biden welcomed faith leaders from across the country to the White House to celebrate the upcoming Easter holiday. At this his third annual Easter prayer breakfast the President spoke about the great work that these various ministries do within their respective communities and the inspiration he draws from this work. He also reflected on the moments of doubt and uncertainty that all people of faith face from time to time but commented “…that’s precisely when we should remember Christ’s own doubts and eventually his own triumph…We are here today to celebrate that glorious overcoming, the sacrifice of a risen savior who died so that we might live.
