In this short martial arts film about a warrior preparing for his final battle, Lou Reed provides not only a chilling musical accompaniment but also sports his studious look when he appears in the film as “The Holder.” Final Weapon stars a famous Taijiquan master, Ren Guangyi, under whom Lou Reed and director Stephan Berwick have both studied. Unfortunately, the screening was last night in NYC, but we’ll be on the lookout for other opportunities to see the entire project.
