I was planning for a solid night out at a regional rave, where some of the region's top DJs were playing, but I ended up getting a little bit more than I bargained for. I ran into my uncle. He's on my dad's side of the family. When I was young, I remember my parents being really weird about him. They wouldn't let me be in the same room as him, and we never went to his apartment, which was on the bad side of town.
