Paul Krugman seems to spend most of his time these days yowling for higher spending EVERYWHERE. If you listened to Krugman, you’d think every economic problem America and Europe has is a result of not spending enough money. Krugman’s thinking is loosely based on Keynesian economic theories that don’t work now and have never worked at any point in the past. The whole idea that the government can make the economy surge by taking tax money out of the economy and spending it is like trying to fill a swimming.
