Pulitzer Winners: Children, Soldiers, and a Long War

Only one of this year’s Pulitzer Prizes for journalism was awarded for work on the Presidential campaign—and that one, to Politico’s Matt Wuerker, was for cartoons. That is apt enough: art of the absurd for a season of the absurd. With any luck, next year’s judges, with the serious stretch of the campaign behind them, will have too many serious campaign stories to choose from.
