Clark first rose to fame hosting American Bandstand and became a fixture of New Year's with his Rockin' Eve show, a gig he continued doing even after suffering a stroke in 2004. He also produced 7,500 hours of television programming, including more than 30 series, 250 specials, and 20 movies for theaters and television.
