Tributes to TV host and producer Dick Clark, who died Wednesday of a heart attack, have poured in from every corner of the entertainment industry. Ryan Seacrest, his “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” co-host, released a statement, saying “American Idol” could not have existed without Clark: “He has truly been one of the greatest influences in my life. I idolized him from the start, and I was graced early on in my career with his generous advice and counsel.
