After a year of trash-talk, Jon Jones prevailed over his rival Rashad Evans at UFC 145. It might of not ended the way he had hoped, but the victory over Evans was satisfying for the UFC light heavyweight champion. Jones had out-struck Evans, utilizing a variety of strikes, while also maintaining his distance, to be awarded the unanimous decision. At one point it seemed as if the 24-year-old Jones would finish his opponent after staggering him with an elbow in the second round.
