Over the weekend, news broke that the new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises would be attached to The Avengers when the Marvel superhero ensemble hits theaters on May 4th (in just under two weeks). A DC Comics film taking advantage of Marvel's audience seems bold, but definitely not unwise. Of course, Christopher Nolan also put a trailer for The Dark Knight in front of Iron Man a few years back, so it's not all that surprising.
