30-Year-Old Army Vet Survives 3 Tours of Duty, Is Fatally Shot in Lancaster

A 30-year-old U.S. Army veteran who survived three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan was gunned down in Lancaster Saturday. Nathen Taylor was sitting alone in his car outside his brother's home in the 700 block of West Avenue H-7 around 12:10am when "several men walked up to the car and one of the suspects fired several rounds into the vehicle," said Deputy Guillermina Saldana of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau in a statement.
