Celebrities Adopt Schools for the Arts

If you see Sarah Jessica Parker wandering around Portland, this is why. It's a public-private pilot project announced by the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities. I'm glad whenever any work and money goes into restoring some semblance of equity in what is currently a devastatingly unequal situation in public American arts education (the inequity: schools where parents can afford to pay for extras get arts, the rest don't).
