The Green Party has proven the critics wrong by electing its first MP in a dysfunctional electoral system against the odds. Elizabeth May has proven to have had a strong influence in the House despite being the lone Green MP and an independent. Much more influence than most other independent candidates in the past. The Green Party has the opportunity to present a clear and alternative vision of Canada's place in the world and as such needs to review its past foreign policies and update them.
