Amar'e Stoudemire won't play again in the Knicks' first round series against the Heat, Howard Beck of the New York Times just reported on Twitter.
There was speculation that the laceration Amar'e suffered after punching the glass plate surrounding a fire extinguisher would keep him out of at least Game 3. But now he's definitely finished, according to Beck's sources.
A lot of people are saying that the Knicks could actually be better without Amar'e since they'll be able to use the smaller line-up that played so well in April.
