Why David Beckham Deserves an Olympics Swan Song

This summer Great Britain will field a combined team in the men’s Olympic football tournament in London. It will be the first time the home nations have come together since 1971. One of the big questions surrounding Stuart Pearce’s selection for the competition is whether David Beckham deserves inclusion as one of three overage players. Beckham brings undoubted star power to the event, but does he really justify a place in Team GB’s lineup?
