Oh geez. The San Francisco Giants were dealt another blow after Pedro Sandoval, arguably the team's best hitter, fractured his left hamate bone. (It's the "small, hook-like bone at the base of the hand, near the wrist.") If you recall, Sandoval injured right right hamate bone last season, which resulted surgery and six weeks on the DL.
