Your Old Gmail Is Gone Forever (GOOG)

The old Gmail interface is dead as a doornail, reports James Fallows of The Atlantic. Fallows strongly preferred the look of the original interface to Gmail's newer look and simply never made the switch. He did all his email in the old interface until May 1, when it froze while he was composing an email (to a friend who works for Google, coincidentally). Fallows wrote that "the new look of Google makes me sad.
