New York Post columnist Phil Mushnick has been adamant in voicing his disapproval over Jay-Z's role as co-owner of the Brooklyn Nets basketball team. In his "Equal Time" column in the newspaper Friday (May 4), he bashed the lauded rapper's marketing practices and even went so far as to say the franchise should be named the "New York N-----s."
"As long as the Nets are allowing Jay-Z to call their marketing shots - what a shock that he chose black and white as the new team colors to stress, as the Nets explained, their new 'urban' home -- why not have him apply the full Jay-Z treatment?" he asked.
