Just heard the very sad news that Michael 'Iron Man' Burks passed away upon his return to the United States from playing in Europe. He played and sang with passion and certainly left the world way too soon. I was looking forward to see him at this summer's Pennsylvania Blues Festival. Alas, I had the pleasure of seeing him twice and will miss not seeing him again.
