Lotus has announced the latest racing version of its Evora flagship, the GTC. Based on the existing Evora GT4 racer, the GTC will do battle in the European Le Mans Series’ new-for-2012 GTC category. The GT4 model already competes with Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and Ferrari 430 Challenge models in the series, but the GTC has been developed to better exploit the regulations. GTC specific modifications include carbon fibre doors, roof, and engine cover, in lieu of the GT4’s fibregl.
