This year’s scorching beauty pageant controversy (because there’s one every year, isn’t there?) has ended peacefully. Jenna Talackova, the contestant originally ousted from the Miss Universe Canada pageant because she was not born a woman, was a top 12 finalist in the Saturday night competition in Toronto, reports Reuters — and though the 23-year-old did not win, she was voted a “Miss Congeniality” by her fellow contestants.
