Nora Ephron, the writer/director/producer responsible for When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail, and Julie and Julia (among others) is reportedly gravely ill and not expected to last through the night. A source tells us that Ephron, 71, is suffering from an unspecified form of blood cancer. Speculation consumed the internet after Wowowow prematurely published Liz Smith's obituary for Ephron ("I won't say, 'Rest in peace, Nora'—I will just ask 'What the hell will we do without you?'), but Ephron's family has clarified that she's currently still alive.
