Google Tests Smartphone Icon in Search Results to Identify Mobile Content

A new Google mobile experiment has been spotted: the addition of an icon in the URL field of search results to indicate smartphone-optimized content to users. The test was spotted over the weekend by SEO Bryson Meunier and later confirmed by Google.
