Members of the Whedonverse, unite!
Marvel announced yesterday that Joss Whedon would, indeed, return to write and direct a sequel to The Avengers, the 2012 blockbuster that has grossed nearly $1.5 billion worldwide.
He has also signed a deal to develop some kind of television showed based on these characters, though details behind that project are sketchy at best.
Announced Marvel in a statement:
“Joss Whedon has signed an exclusive deal with Marvel Studios for film and television through the end of June 2015.
