Anchor David Gonzales Out at KCAL in LA

David Gonzales has parted ways with KCAL, the CBS-owned independent station in Los Angeles, a station spokesperson has confirmed to TVSpy. Gonzales anchored the station’s noon and 2 p.m. newscasts alongside Sandra Mitchell. He was last on the air December 4. Kent Shocknek, the morning anchor at sister station KCBS, filled in on the newscasts for part of last week. Gonzales joined KCAL in 1995 from rival KCOP, where he was an anchor for three years.
