Chemical dump affects water supply of 30,000 in Shanghai suburbs

Residents in Jinshan and Songjiang districts, southern suburbs of Shanghai, have been receiving emergency water supplies after an illegal chemical dump contaminated their drinking water earlier this week. China's government-approved drinking water isn't exactly Perrier, but the recent toxic dump flooded several town's rivers with styrene, a chemical that wreaks havoc on the intestines, kidneys, and respiratory system.
