Lower Broadway property seen fetching huge price

Thor Equities has put 530 Broadway an office and retail building it owns in the city's red-hot SoHo market up for sale. Some sources estimated the 11-story, 40,000-square-foot property could trade for more than $300 million, what would equate to a staggering $7,500-per-square-foot price. The offering reflects the way the value of SoHo real estate has skyrocketed in recent years as the area has emerged as one of the city's prime shopping districts with retail rents that are fast climbing to rival other high streets like Madison Avenue and Times Square.
