Hunger Games Book Boost Fades

Total children’s and young adult trade sales sagged nearly 25 percent in the first quarter of 2013 compared to the same period last year when The Hunger Games swept the box office in March 2012. However, as you can see by the Association of American Publishers’ (AAP) chart for children’s & YA sales from 2011-2013 embedded above, these sales were 22 percent higher than the same period in 2011.
