KakaoTalk messaging app adds end-to-end encrypted Secret Chat mode

KakaoTalk, the Korea-based messaging app, has introduced a new Secret Chat mode to allow encrypted conversations. The new type of chatroom uses end-to-end encryption on all messages exchanged via the app and stores the encryption key on your device. Secret Chat mode is only available for one-to-one chats in the new update but KakaoTalk’s developers say a group mode will available early next year.
